About Our Company

After having worked together for more than a decade, the founding Partners of JCD Energy spun-off the development arm of Melink Corporation's solar business to form JCD Solar Consulting, LLC.  That spin-off allowed our team to focus exclusively on pre-construction development services for commercial and utility-scale energy projects, which we believe will have the greatest impact on our country's economy and environment.

Following the spin-off, the JCD team operated for eight years under the tradename Melink Solar Development.  In 2026, we updated our tradename to JCD Energy to reflect the growing diversity in the types of energy projects we support.  Today, JCD Energy is a leader in professional services for the pre-construction project development market. 

 

We assist owners with evaluation of sites as potential host locations for commercial and utility-scale energy projects, assist companies and governmental organizations with negotiation of green-power contracts, support rural electric cooperatives and generation/transmission providers as an owner's rep, and assist project investors in developing successful and profitable energy projects.
